South Africa prepare for the opening game of the 2019 World Cup
South Africa captain Faf du Plessis admitted that the absence of fast bowler Dale Steyn will be a blow as the Proteas start their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign as the underdogs against hosts England at The Oval.

Dale Steyn, eighth in terms of all-time strike rates, will most likely be replaced by all-rounder Chris Morris.

Unlike in past editions, the Proteas head into the World Cup not as one of the strongest teams, but on that still holds promise.

Du Plessis is hoping he still has the 'cool' quotient and can inspire his young team members and World Cup debutants like Aiden Makram, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi to a memorable performance this time around.
