Cricket South Africa, on Thursday, released a new campaign #ProteaFire to show the world what the South African national team is all about.
The video has South Africa’s captains across different formats – namely AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, and Faf du Plessis – talking about what it is like to be a Protea and represent the national team.
The campaign has been in the pipeline for months, with players like de Villiers constantly using the #ProteaFire hashtag on Twitter whenever South Africa took to the field. The 30-year-old even tweeted a photo of the campaign when it was being shot.
South African fans will be hoping that this campaign inspires them to shed the chokers tag and go all the way in the ICC World Cup next year.
