Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik announced his retirement from 50-over cricket on Friday, following Pakistan's 94-run victory over Bangladesh at Lord's in London.
It was the last round-robin match for both teams at the World Cup and neither progressed to the semi-finals, meaning their respective campaigns were over.
