Zimbabwe Emerging vs South Africa Emerging Unofficial Test Series 2024: Full schedule, squads, match timings

The South Africa Emerging tour of Zimbabwe will start with two four-day unofficial Test matches. The first match will start on Thursday, August 1, while the second game will start on Wednesday, August 7. Both the matches will be played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Innocent Kaia will captain the Zimbabwe Emerging side, while Mihlali Mpongwana has been appointed as the skipper of South Africa Emerging. The Test series will be followed by three unofficial ODI matches.

Mpongwana, the 24-year-old all-rounder, who scored a match-winning century and took three wickets for Western Province in their successful One-Day Cup final against North West Dragons, played for South Africa A in three first-class matches against West Indies A last season.

Additionally, he was included in the Proteas One-Day International squad for the series against India in December and traveled with the national team to New Zealand for a two-match Test series in February.

The management team for the South Africa Emerging squad is led by Head Coach Malibongwe Maketa, with Blanche Conradie serving as the Team Manager. The coaching staff includes Mandla Mashimbyi as the Bowling Coach and Jimmy Kgamadi as the Batting Coach.

Additionally, Tumi Masekela is the Strength and Conditioning Coach, MJ Sebetlela acts as the Physiotherapist, and Abram Ndhlovu is the Performance Analyst.
