Darts enigma Richard Veenstra is yet to claim a BDO major title.

Dynamic Dutchman Richard Veenstra is a very strange player with a distinct style and unusual darts, yet he is one of the very best that the BDO have to offer. At his best, Veenstra can record huge averages and his scoring and finishing are scarcely believable, but at his worst he is extremely substandard, explaining the lack of fulfilment when it comes to dominating the BDO.

Inconsistency is Richard Veenstra's biggest weakness and for every incredible performance the man from Holland puts in, 'Flyers' errs into the poorer quality side of his game at times. Veenstra attempted to make the switch to the PDC but fell short of the top seven on the Q-School order of merit having made a slow start and inconsistency may prove a barrier to him becoming a professional and fulfilling his potential in future.

#1 Jim Williams

BDO number one Jim Williams is undoubtedly the world's best non-professional darts player.

Like Veenstra, Jim Williams was a heavy favourite to claim a tour card and while many of his BDO subordinates succeeded to accomplish this task, the more abled Jim Williams will have to wait to take to the PDC.

'The Quiff' will set his main task now to winning the BDO World Championship having missed out in 2020 to veteran countryman Wayne Warren as well as putting in a good performance at the PDC Grand Slam, where the PDC and BDO both feature in the only tournament of it's kind.
