It turns out that the trailer for The Legend of Zelda Wii U shown at E3 earlier this year was actually the gameplay footage. The video has managed to impress fans and other people present at E3 with its stunning cell shaded graphics, so original gameplay footage or not, it’s something to look out for. The producer of the Zelda series, Eiji Aonuma has confirmed on his Miiverse post that demo was in fact the actual gameplay.

"Many people from the media kept asking me if the footage from the new Zelda game for Wii U is just a promotional movie, but that really is actual gameplay on Wii U,"

Aonuma has also promised in his statement that the world of Zelda will also be rather large

"I wasn't kidding about how you will be able to reach the mountains that appear in the distance if you should choose to!"

Aonuma has further boasted about the games graphics in his interview with Famitsu magazine. According to Nintendo Everything translation, Aonuma has said that the graphics will looks more amazing” than the demo seen earlier this year at E3. If so, this game is bound to be one of the most graphically stunning releases for the Wii U.

The trailer shows Link on horseback, escaping from a monster which Aonuma says is a new enemy type not present in any of the previous Zelda series. It also has to be defeated on horseback, so it looks like it’s going to quite the challenge.

Expect to see more from The Legend of Zelda for Wii U at the next E3 in 2015.
