Battlefield 4 available for free again from Origin in Game Time

EA has been lashing out features and promotions to make its Origin service more and more attractive. One of the biggest ones they use is the Game Time feature, which gives free access to specific games for a specific amount of time. The latest announcement from EA sees the return of Battlefield 4 to Origin Game Time, witth the players getting a 7-day access to the first-person shooter title for free. All you have to do to grab you copy is click here and select “Get it Now”.

The service has already had Battlefield 4 listed once before and the second innings of the game will be welcomed by players who couldn’t make the most out of the first opportunity. In the announcement EA seems to indicate that they cannot by saying “If you’re new to Battlefield 4, starting today you can add Battlefield 4 to your library and play for 168 hours.” However, these 168 hours work differently in Origin Game Time than in normal demos. Once you have downloaded and started your first game, the timer starts. No matter what you are doing in-game or out of the game, the clock keeps ticking. Basically, one week is all you’ve got starting the moment you boot up the game.

You can always purchase the game if you find it worthy enough and your game will start from where you left. “If you decide to pick up Battlefield 4 on PC after your Game Time ends, your progress will carry right over. Just add the game to your Game Library.” This service is exclusively for PC users as Game Time is exclusive to Origin. So, try the game out and decide for yourself whether you want to ‘own’ it.
