Football Manager 2015 features revealed

Football Manager 2015 is one of the highly anticipated games of this year, and is scheduled to release on November 7th. The fans have been waiting long time for these features to be released. The game developers have released a 28-minute video showcasing the game’s new features. A whole lot of changes have been made to the game, right from it’s user interface, presentation, graphics, revamped scouting and the moustaches! Here is a summary of the features in Football Manager 2015:

1. The User Interface gets a major revamp, the game developers have completely redesigned the interface. To make things much easier and quicker, they have added a sidebar which consists of all the main pages to navigate. As you can see in the image below, the left side has the horizontal sidebar which is used to navigate to other pages inside the game.

2. Selecting the Type of manager is a new feature added in this game, the players have to choose either a Tracksuit manager or a Tactical Manager. The former means that the managers work with the players in the training ground, helping them improve their skills and the latter means the managers will work more with the players off the pitch. As you can see in the image below, the players can also choose their coaching badges and the past playing experience, that will surely affect the stats of the manager.

3. The Match-engine is overhauled big time in this game. The players, weather, lighting, fans, the stands and the stadiums have all been improved. The brand new cutting edge motion picture data makes the game more realistic when compared to its previous games. This is the first time in the game’s history, where the hand crafted animations have been removed and replaced with actions recorded by AFC Wimbledon at state of the art motion sensor locations. The players look more realistic and will react more naturally to all situations.

The Scouting system have been remodelled and now the scouts can interact with managers asking to cancel specific scouting assignments and recommending replacements for the players who are unhappy at the current club. The scout reports have been replaced with a new look, pro and con section, to give more insight about the player who is being scouted.

5. During the November month in the game, the moustaches starts to grow on players and the game developers have also modelled different levels of growth for moustaches. This feature is added in the game to raise awarness of the ‘Movember’ event. As you can clearly in the below image two different players has different models of moustaches!

• 6. Player roles have been given an extra importance with more flexible tactical formations employed this year. Four new player roles have been added: Roaming midfielders, Inverted wing backs, Creative wide players and wingers can play as 'Raumdeuter', means a space investigator in German.
  7. Promises given to players or team can be tracked in a separate page, which means the managers can’t have excuses if he forgets those made promises.
  8. The press is a lot smarter in this game, offering complicated tactical questions along with conferences which has a wider range of questions than before.
  9. New stadium features have been introduced in this game, adding more colour to the match day experience.
  10. Job interviews have also been updated with more options and questions.
  11. Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations have been added to the game for the first time, including wage restrictions that will be dicussed with managers in their initial meeting with the board.
  12. Changes have been made to training, which enables the managers to set training mentalities for players for specific roles. For example, only specific players can train as wingers with either attacking or defending mentality.
  13. Twitch integration is added to this game which lets people around the world to chat with fellow gamers and can watch live streaming of games.
  14. Interaction between players and managers are more realistic this time.
