Forza gives away free Forza Horizon 2 Car, but with a condition

Forza horizon 2

According to reports, old timers of the Forza series will be able to get the keys to some free cars in the Forza Horizon 2, when they pick up the game, as long as they have reached certain milestones.

Launched last year and functional since then, the Forza Rewards website allots to you a tier, based on your experience with their past games which include Forza 2, 3, 4, 5, and Horizon but strangely not the original Forza. This experience envelops everything from the number of miles that you have driven, unlocking achievements and the number of the cars you’ve collected, to the DLC that you've purchased.

If you have made it to at least Tier 2 or higher, you'll be rewarded with one or more cars. Here is the list of cars that Forza is giving as rewards:

  • Tier Level 2: 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe
  • Tier Level 3: 2013 Viper GTS
  • Tier Level 4: 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4
  • Tier Level 5: 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter
  • Tier Level 6: 2013 McLaren P1

If you make it to levels above tier2, you'll be rewarded with the car at that tier as well as the cars in any previous tiers. These cars will be received automatically on the first time you download and boot up Horizon 2, which makes it launch on September 30.

Go to the Forza Rewards website to check what tier you've reached. You can also get a rundown on what you've accomplished and what else you can do to move up through the ranks. You can also redeem points you may have earned for in-game rewards like credits in Forza 4, 5, or Horizon, if you haven't already done so.

Along with the announcement about the free cars, Microsoft also released the gorgeous launch trailer today, which you can view here. The demo of the game will be released on September 16, where everyone can try it out.
