One of the most awaited games of the year, Destiny, the upcoming shooter from Activision will be released and sold solely in India through Amazon, according to reports. Pre-orders for the game were already live since a few days back, with Amazon offering a discount of Rs. 300 to anyone who pre-ordered it.
This is the second time that Amazon India has procured such a special deal for itself in the past weeks. Last Wednesday, the company announced an exclusive partnership with Microsoft to sell Microsoft's Xbox One and its games and peripherals throughout India.
The game launches today and will be available on all four formats – Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS3. The PS4 and Xbox One versions will cost Rs. 4,299 and the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Destiny will cost Rs. 3,999 (after discount). Destiny is currently being listed across various retailers like Games the Shop and Game4u, but those listings may be taken down soon after this exclusive deal with Amazon.
