According to Bandai Namco (the game’s publishers), there are going to be four new characters in the game, and also a player created character who can be a Saiyan, Earthling, Majin, Namekian or someone from Frieza's race. Two antagonists Towa and Mira will be present in the game and these two were already present in Dragon Ball Online. And then there will be two more characters who are the good guys and will be playing alongside your created character. Those two are the the Supreme Kai of Time and TokiToki.

The game will have a completely new Hyperbolic Time Chamber like area named the Time Storage Vault and also a new hi-tech city location. The release date is not yet known, but for now it has been revealed that it will be released next year. For the first time, a Dragon Ball game is released on eighth generation consoles apart from PC.
