New fatalities for Scorpion and Quan Chi on Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat is known for its gory violence and kill moves called ‘fatalities’. So it’s not surprising that Mortal Kombat X will also have the same amount of gruesomeness and with better graphics it’s bound to be more realistic and gory than ever before. Netherrealm Studios did a livestream for the game earlier this week in which it showcased some of the gameplay and more importantly, some of the new fatalities.

The two new fatalities this time are from characters Scorpion and Quan Chi and boy is it gory. It seems that Ed Boon and the team have really turned the bloodshed up a notch in Mortal Kombat X. As expected from a game that once single handily brought about the creation of the ESRB. So if you get queasy around gore then its best you stay away from the game entirely as it has no qualms about violence and bloodshed.

A good example of this is the Scorpion fatality in Mortal Kombat X which is bound to shock first time viewers. Quan Chi’s fatality involves his sword and even though it is gruesome it still isn’t as bad as Scorpion’s. The Scorpion fatality is probably the most grisly of Mortal Kombat X game. Now whether the series is going to gather a lot of controversy for its violence is a different topic altogether but fans of the series (and of the fatalities) sure won’t be disappointed.

Mortal Kombat X is set to release on April 14th, 2015 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360. Till then here is a video of the Scorpion Fatality for all you morbidly curious folks out there.
