Raidou will make a comeback in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Tecmo Koei has recently revealed in Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that one of series oldest villains will be making a comeback in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. This character is non other than Raidou, the final boss of the original DOA game. Long time fans of the series are definitely going to be happy with the announcement of the characters reappearance. But its isn’t going to be the same Raidou that gamers encountered in the original game. Raidou has gotten a makeover, he is now part cyborg and much more powerful than before.

Ever since the characters first appearance in the original Dead or Alive, Raidou has never reappeared in any of the games other titles. So to include him in Last Round is quite a welcome addition. Of course Raidou will be much more powerful than last time, given that he will be getting some form of robotic enhancement. But Tecmo Koei has not gone into the details of how Raidou will look like so fans of the series will just have to wait till they release a few screenshots sometime in the future.

Tecmo Koei has also announced that those purchasing the Japanese version of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round at the games launch will also receive the exclusive ‘Ninja2015 costume” DLC pack which will include a special gravure movie and a swimsuit costume for four of the female characters. The European and North American release of the game may have also receive some special DLC packs of its own. The game will also include all the content present in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate as well as some stages from previous versions of the game series. Dead or Alive 5 Ultimates DLC packs will also be compatiable with Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is set to launch next year, February 17th in North America, February 19th in Japan and February 20th in Europe for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
