Sakurai reveals Super Smash Bros. for Wii U main menu

With the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U set to launch about a month and a half after the Nintendo 3DS release, Masahiro Sakurai is now focusing his daily updates on the Wii U version. Though most of these updates aren’t as important, they still offer a sneak peek on what’s to come like the latest update which reveals the title screen for the Wii version.

A bit similar to the design found on the 3DS version, the screen for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (seen above) even showcases some fighters from the game. Here’s Sakurai’s caption that came with the pic :

‘Pic of the day. Here’s the main menu of the Wii U Version. Colorful silhouettes of various fighters stream in the background. It looks sparkly.’

Like the 3DS version which had a Wii U connectivity icon, the console version of Super Smash Bros. will have an icon that will let you connect to the 3DS version, an important feature to help you in a number of things including transferring custom characters. There is even a big party mode added into the game called the ‘Smash Tour’ and the icon can be seen on the main menu picture.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be out on November 21. If you’re eager to know more about the game release and want to keep updated you can follow Masahiro Sakurai on twitter.
