With just a week remaining for the release of Sunset Overdrive, now the people are guessing what the game has to offer. The open world, third person shooter game is exclusively for Xbox One which is developed by Insomniac studios and published by Microsoft studios. The game is ready to hit the stores and by whatever we have learnt from the trailers and gameplay videos is that we can be pretty sure that everyone will fall in love with this game.

The game is set in the fictional open world of metropolis Sunset city in the year of 2027 where the players control fully customizable FizzCo employee who fights the OD'd, humans transformed into monsters after consuming an energy drink. Insomniac's totally dumb action game is actually pretty intelligent. At first you will find the game pretty silly, but the more you play and more number of beasts you kill along with solving the puzzles, the game gets very different and interesting. The players can use a large number of weapon which is available in the armory, they can use ziplines to travel long distances in very short amount of time and grind rails to swiftly navigate the Sunset City.

Gameplay:

Sunset Overdrive's gameplay is really really weird, but it's also one of the smartest gameplays featured in the recent games. The story of the game can only make you think that what kind of game it would be. In the game, players control a FizzCo employee whose gender, skin and body type can be customized. After the party of the announcement of their new energy drink, Overcharge Delirium XT, the players fight the OD'd humans who have mutated from drinking too much of the energy drink. There is only one word by which you can describe the gameplay and the word is "unique".

The gameplay acts like a bond between the combat and traversal in an intelligent way, by giving the players an opportunity to not only learn new ways of getting around, but also to use them in battle as well. Leaping off the boat, bouncing off vehicles, grinding on rails, and slaughtering bad guys is the heart of Sunset Overdrive, and what keeps it interesting over time is the evolution of character skills. The game primarily focuses on "agile combat" system which allows the players to use their acrobatic skills and various gadgets to tackle their enemies and kill them. Players can carry eight weapons at a time, ranging from an assault rifle to a hand grenade launcher.

The weapons eventually run out of ammo but you need not reload it while using. The weapons can be upgraded using "Amps" which in turn increases their lethal-ability. By performing numerous combo moves, the rating in the stylish meter increases which increases your rank. In the online co-op mode Chaos Squad, up to eight players defend vats of Overcharge Delirium XT from waves of OD'd. Although they work together, players also try to earn more Style points during play than their co-op partners.

Development and Production:

The game was announced during Microsoft's E3 2013 press event.[9] It will release on October 28, 2014 for Xbox One. On 9 October 2014, Insomniac Games confirmed that the game had been declared gold, indicating that it was being prepared for duplication and release. The game is expected to use Microsoft's cloud computing to create a living world, where user feedback and ideas such as Internet memes, social commentary, new items, weapons, and characters can be quickly added. The game will be released with a Kinect-less Xbox One console for a price of US$399.

What to expect:

After seeing the weird but innovative gameplay, everyone expects Insomniac Games to maintain their standards of presenting a very good adventure. We will have fun killing the monsters that are haunting the city, by using the character's acrobatic ability and features like zipline and grind rails. What we can exclude are the disgusting face-zombie in the Resident Evil, as the mutants in this game look decent that the Resident Evil zombies.

The gameplay system seems to be very user-friendly, so the players will take very less time for getting used to the controls and mastering the moves. The game's visuals are bright and colorful. It becomes a major plus point as you will never feel monotonous even after playing the game for hours. So, for now we wait for the release of Sunset Overdrive for a few more days and we'll get all the answers to our queries about the game. The game will release on October 28, 2014 in North America and October 31,2014 in Europe.
