Borderlands 3 is slated to release on September 13, 2019. While you all are desperately waiting to play your favourite looter-shooter co-op game. Check out the 13 reasons why I think Borderlands 3 is going to be a game of the year.

Best Co-op Experience

Borderlands series is one of the few video game titles out in the market which offer one of the best co-op experience. Borderlands 3 is going to be a great co-op game just like its predecessors. Borderlands 3 player co-op system is far balanced than other games and fun to play. Your friends can join your journey of Borderlands whether it's the main story or just the side quests your buddies will always be there to help you in your endeavours.

Several co-op games come and go by each passing year. Though only a few offer good co-op experience. Borderlands 3 is going to be one of the best co-op game of 2019 and also the reasons why it is gonna be a game of the year.

Story

At the start, it may not look like it but if you have played all the Borderlands titles out there you know how strong of a plot Borderlands offers. Borderlands series offers a great storyline connected with the character, places, events and other aspects of the game.

Borderlands 3 is going to have one of the best stories unless and until the developers don't mess it up. The paramount war to take control of the vaults, the guardians who protect the vaults, previous protagonists role in the game, new heroes with their background story, Is Tannis good or bad? Borderlands 3 story is going to have all of these.

Characters

Borderlands series has introduced unique characters with different backgrounds and back story supporting their action. Borderlands 3 is the same as the upcoming game feature 4 new protagonists. Each and every borderlands character play an important part in the story and the Borderlands universe. Generally, we see characters to develop over the course of the game. Although, in Borderlands most of the characters develop over the series.

Graphics

Borderlands 3 is going to have the same vibrant artistic style of signature graphics. Borderlands 3 will be as detailed and beautiful just like its predecessors.

Open World

Open World has always been one of the strongest aspects of the Borderlands series. Borderlands 3 is going to offer different worlds in the game for the first time. Before that, we either had Pandora, Elpis or Hyperion space station to explore. Borderlands series open world gives freedom to players as every mission, action, side story, lore or loot you find depends on how much you give time to the beautiful open world of Borderlands.

World of Borderlands

The World of Borderlands is full of different variety of enemies, biomes, loot, hidden secrets and many more things waiting for you to explore. Borderlands series is one of the few series which offer a diverse game world filled with quests and activities which have a great impact on the story and character development. Borderlands 3 has multiple worlds and just like its predecessors, it's filled with everything you would have asked for.

Settings

In short, Borderlands offer different powerful people who try to get their hands on powerful weapons or entities which are inside the vaults spread all around the universe. The post-apocalyptic type of setting with danger lurking around is one of the best things.

Loots

Borderlands 3 is going to have millions of new weapons and loot. Borderlands series is known as the best looter-shooter game and Borderlands 3 is going to keep that title. The game will offer a new brand "Children of the vaults" whose weapons are created by vault techs. The new game has updated all the existing weapon manufacturers weapons and loots into a better one.

Voice Acting

Voice acting in Borderlands series is also top-notch. Voice actor(s/ess) like Dameon Clarke (Handsome Jack) and Ashly Burch(Tiny Tina) gave a phenomenal performance. These are just a few examples of the top casts of Borderlands series. Troy Baker who voiced Rhys from Borderlands the pre-sequel is also a prime example of good voice acting. Borderlands 3 is going to have the same level of new/old actors and actresses who are going to bring the 3D characters to life.

Side Quests

Borderlands series offers a variety of side quests. Unlike other games, Borderlands series side quests are not repetitive, plus it plays a major role in the storyline and the lore behind Borderlands universe.

End Game

Borderlands offers many options to players after end game. They can either start a new game plus with their level, upgrades and loot or just enjoy the existing game and explore the map for different side quests, hidden locations, lore and loot.

Borderlands series offer end game raid bosses which are found in the map. Borderlands 3 is going to offer a better version of the end game that we saw in the earlier games in the series.

Iconic Villains

Borderlands series has never ceased to amaze me with their iconic bosses and antagonists. Handsome Jack is one of the few examples of antagonists who were such great that we never felt resentment towards them. Similarly, Borderlands 3 Tyreen and Troy will prove to be a great iconic villain and with their Siren powers and the cult thing, I can't wait to play the game.

A Series Loved By Its Fans

Borderlands is a critically acclaimed series, there is nothing about the game which to dislike. Borderlands doesn't have a pay to win business model, offers a great plot, no bugs, great co-op experience, a variety of loot, missions and places.

There are plenty of things about Borderlands which has been like by the community and these are also the reasons that we have high hopes for Borderlands 3 and believe me, if the game is as good as Borderlands 2. Borderlands 3 will be game of the year 2019.
