League of Legends is a game which requires a lot of time and dedication. Players give countless hours to get good and it's an uphill task. League of Legends has a massive player base. It was reported that 80 million players played the game across the globe in 2017. Such a large player base can't be satisfied with only one game mode hence Riot constantly adds rotating game modes which help players to blow off some steam.

These game modes are often fast-paced and have fun interactions unlike the default game mode of Summoners Rift which requires players to be on their toes constantly. Riot constantly changes rotating game modes which usually comes on weekends. This keeps the theme fresh and players have something to look for each weekend.

Apart from these Riot have increased the number of rotating game modes as the part of the experiment. In 2018 Riot released a statement which said players should expect more game mode at an irregular time period, unlike previous years where the rotating game mode followed the patch system. According to Riot "Developing new modes can take a tremendous amount of time (Invasion took over four months), and we think putting our focus towards developing new modes is the best way to deliver better experiences for you.

Old modes aren’t going anywhere though. We’ll still be running favorites like ARURF, One for All, and others throughout the year. There simply won’t be an RGM every patch."

These game modes have all sorts of objectives to be achieved. Each game is different from each other and provides a totally different experience. From capturing checkpoints or killing void monsters, the variety has been vastly expanded in the past few years.

We look at the best five rotating game mode we think is worth your time!

This game mode is a dream for assassins. The fast-paced bloodfest style game mode is well suited for players who like skirmishes.

The game mode takes place on the classic Summoners Rift map but the map is adjusted to Assasins theme. It's a 5v5 battle but with a restricted champ pool(only assassins). The champions available for game mode are-

Ahri, Akali, Camille, Diana, Ekko, Elise, Evelyn, Fizz, Kassadin, Katarina, Kennen, Kha'Zix, Leblanc, Lee Sin, Pantheon, Rengar, Shaco, Talon, Yasuo, and Zed.

The main objective of the game is to accumulate 350 points. The team which succeeds in getting the mark first wins the game. Teams can get points by three separate ways, which are-

* Killing Enemy champions(Grants 5 points)

* Killing Enemy spirits(Grants 3 points)

* Killing Demons Herald(Grants 30 points)

Every champion will start the game at level 3. Additionally, every champion has 50% cooldown reduction on active items and spells. If a champion is able to kill three enemy champions without dying then the champion will get a bonus buff of invisibility and increased movement speed. There are no outer turrets in the game and at the 6-minute mark, inner turrets will fall too. Most of the Defensive items have been removed promoting a more aggressive gameplay.

Set in Howling abyss in an All Random All Mid(ARAM) fashion this game mode is extremely fun to play. Two sides of 5 players each try to defeat each other by attacking Nexus. What makes this game mode special is the ability to summon Poros or Poro king himself!

The game mode replaces our usual summoner spells with two new unique one.

Poro Toss: Throws a poro in a linear pattern for a long distance. If the Poro collides with an enemy champion it deals damage and marks the enemy champion for 3 seconds.

Poro Dash: If a champion is struck by Poro toss then the Poro dash can be cast which will make your champion dash towards the enemy champion. This also reduces the cooldown of Poro toss by 5 seconds.

Poro King: Striking enemy champions by Poro toss grants a mark. After 10 marks it can be consumed to summon Poro King. Poro King further aids the team which has summoned him by pushing the lane. Poro King has a huge health pool so it usually is the front line. The opposing team can kill the Poro King by striking him. Poro king can be summoned multiple times by both the teams.

One of the most fun game to play URF or ALLURF has always been a fan favorite. What makes this game so special is that summoners start with 80% cooldown reduction. This also includes cooldowns on the active items and summoners spell. In addition to this spells don't cost any mana or energy. This means you can literally spam champion abilities and have fun with it. The game mode is a complete chaos which adds to the kill fest.

The game takes place in Summoners Rift in a standard 5 v 5 manner. 80% cooldown reduction means players can be aggressive right from level 1. The game mode has removed some items from the shop to maintain balance. Overall it remains one of the most requested game mode of all time.
