Developers 3D Realms have released a brand new gameplay trailer for their upcoming isometric ARPG title, Bombshell. Announced last year, the new game will be played in an isometric perspective with “first-person shooting controls.” 3D Realms are responsible for developing a number of titles like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, and Rise of Triad, and Bombshell is their latest.
The game centres on protagonist Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison, a bomb technician turned mercenary with a mechanical arm. The development team describes Shelly as an “Unreal Engine-powered galactic adventure” who is out “to rescue the president from an apocalyptic alien threat.” Shelly’s mechanical arm can also be configured in different ways and she will be equipped with special moves and a set of upgrades through a techtree.
3D Realms have revealed the following details on the upcoming title:
“Out-of-this-world enemies, a never-before-seen arsenal of devastating weaponry and a host of genre-crossing mechanics.”
