Path of Exile is one of my favorite games and it definitely belongs to the top 5 list when the list is about adventure games on PC. Path of Exile allows you to be the exiled criminal, struggling to survive in the dark continent of Wraeclast. You are in a dark fantasy world fighting to earn the power to taken revenge on those who wronged you. Path of Exile is an amazing Action-adventure game but at the same time, the game is tied together with a strong story-line and story-driven gameplay. It is a perfect mix of Action-adventure and story-driven RPG.
The game allows you to fight your way through the storyline as the game makes progress, items are everything, collect the important items and use them in battles. Customize your character freely and choose from a different class of characters.

The goal in Rust is very simple, stay alive. You don't need to fight any ninja crew or mutant samurais but you need to stay alive. Talking about adventure games, how can I leave this multiplayer game out of the list?
The main goal in rust is to stay alive while you fight nature and enemies. Fight hunger, cold and thirst. Build a fire to stay warm, make a shelter to protect yourself from the weather and wild animals. Hunt wild animals for meat, make friends with other players and build a town or hunt other players for meat. Life is Rust is rough and raw, do whatever it takes to stay alive.
