Alone In The Dark: Illumination pre-order grants beta access and more

Fans of the survival horror genre will be happy to know that the upcoming Alone In The Dark: Illumination is available for pre-order on Steam. Not only that, but the game is also offering bonuses with every pre-ordered pack though some might find this rather strange as these bonuses don’t exactly aid your character in any way.

Pre-ordering the game on steam will now give the player access to limited edition weapon skins and player skins for all four playable characters and will also include an achievement dubbed ‘Old One’. Players will also gain access to the closed beta version of the game starting next month. When you pre-order the game it will automatically be upgraded to the Eldritch Edition which contains all the features mentioned above.

So other than some cosmetic items and an achievement which doesn’t seem like much, the only other major reason to pre-order the game is the guaranteed access to the closed beta which is great for those of you who are survival horror enthusiast or eager to play. The title will be up to four player cooperative experience so players who have played In The Dark previously may have their doubts about the game. The story takes place in a small town in Virginia where the four characters are sent to investigate a mystery only to be confronted by an evil force known as ‘The Darkness’ which can create various apparitions and creatures at will.

Alone In The Dark: Illumination will be releasing this Holiday Season 2014 for the PC.
