Assassin's Creed Odyssey: New Game Plus coming this month (and Twitter reactions)

New Game Plus - the game mode which allows players to start a new single player campaign at the same level and with the same gear you ended the previous game with - has been a pretty constant standard for RPG and action/adventure games since, well, Chrono Trigger, I think.

What's been more common lately, however, is the addition of this mode added months after the game initially launched. Both Marvel's Spider-Man and God of War launched without it and then added it later, for example. Now, one of the more popular games of 2018 is finally getting in on that action.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Twitter account just posted this tweet earlier today:

Ubisoft has been pretty vigilant with the post-release content for Odyssey, and New Game Plus has really been the one main feature that players have had to wait for. Fortunately, it looks like that wait won't be long.

As far as to what new features NG+ is going to include, Ubisoft touched on that, as well. When Twitter user @blackpinksha asked that very question, they responded with:

Needless to say, fans on Twitter who have been waiting for just this news were pretty excited:

Despite the fact that the Tweet literally says "New Game +" in it, a few people (well, OK, lots of people) still didn't quite get it.

While tea isn't good enough for some people, Ubisoft is still willing to provide.

For folks who got the Deluxe edition of the game, a remastered version of Assassin's Creed III is also on the way next month.

As soon as we get a confirmed date for the new mode for Odyssey, we'll let you know. Chances are we'll probably hear (or read, I guess) something next week. In the meantime, let us know in the comments - are you excited for New Game +?
