Bandai Namco has announced its upcoming arcade shooter Time Crisis 5 on October last year. Time Crisis 5 is the latest title in the long-running franchise and it is slated to hit arcades in March this year. The company has now released the first gameplay footage for their arcade title and it looks quite engaging.

The arcade shooter now uses a Dual Pedal system, unlike its predecessors. Previously, players would have to step on one pedal to hide. In Time Crisis 5, players will have to use both the left and right pedal, so instead of hiding in one spot, you will now be able to move your character and hide in two places. Players will also be able to flank enemies from the side. These new features definitely make Time Crisis 5 a cut above the previous titles in the franchise.

However, Time Crisis 5 still allows players to use four different weapons, as found in Time Crisis 4. The game also features updated graphics, which is expected given how long back Time Crisis 4 released. Finally, this game is set to include the iconic main theme of the series which will make the long following fans of the series quite happy. Bandai Namco is yet to announce if the game will be out for the home console. Meanwhile, you can check out the new gameplay footage for Time Crisis 5 below:
