Batman: Arkham Knight's Batgirl DLC set for release next week

In a piece of news that’s sure to excite Batman: Arkham Knight fans, WB Games and Rocksteady announced, through a trailer, that the critically acclaimed game’s first DLC titled Batgirl: A Matter of Family is set for release next week.

The events of the game are set years before the commencement of the series and traces Batgirl aka Barbara Gordon’s mission to save her father, GCPD Commissioner Gordon, from the Joker.

Barbara will feature in her Batgirl avatar for the first time in the series’ history, having appeared as hacker Oracle in previous installments. An appearance from the Dark Knight himself is unlikely due to the Joker’s threat of killing Gordon if his nemesis shows up. However, boy wonder Robin may make an appearance.

Arkham Knight Season Pass holders will get first preference on the DLC, and will be able to download it on the 14th of July while others will have to wait for the 21st to have it on their systems.

The DLC is set to be released for PS4 and X Box One users only due to the game facing numerous issues plaguing the PC version, that are still to be sorted out.

The trailer of the DLC is already raking in rave reviews on Youtube, so doubts about as to how successful it’ll be shouldn’t arise.
