EA’s Battlefield Hardline has now made its way to the top of the weekly UK video games sales chart list, fending off competition from Sony’s Bloodborne. The game, which released earlier this month, has managed to stay at the top of the charts for two consecutive weeks now. This is no surprise as the beta alone had drawn in over 7 million players. Despite garnering some negative reviews, the game has done rather well.
Bloodborne still ranks second in sales but could have been number one if it wasn’t limited to a single platform. The game is currently a PlayStation 4 exclusive and will likely remain the same unless Sony decides to release a PC version later.
The third best selling game this week is Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, which is pretty impressive for a remaster. The game is available now for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and includes both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The Handsome Collection is then followed by GTA 5, Fifa 15 and Dying Light.

Sadly, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is missing from the list. The game debuted at number two last week but has not reappeared on the list since. It is also impressive that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is still at number 7 despite releasing in November last year.
Of course, the sales might change once again in the coming weeks and Bloodborne may just take over Hardline’s spot if the hype grows. You can check out the list of top selling video games in the UK below:
