The creators of the famous BioShock series are set for an unexpected shut down. Irrational Games has announced that the studio would shut down completely. Co-founder, Ken Levine has announced that he has decided to form a new studio with 15 members from his former studio.
As per Guardianlv, the reins of BioShock will be handed over to 2K games so that Levine can focus completely on “replayable narrative” and have a “smaller, more entrepreneurial endeavour at Take-Two.” In an interview, Levine revealed that they have no plans on the completion of BioShock Infinite.
Ken Levine has wished to focus on a new concept called “narrative LEGOs” by the co-founder of Irrational Games, that refers to taking of a narrative way and then breaking it down.
During a gaming conference, he explained that the game’s leading character Elizabeth, “performs the same way for everybody who plays the game, every time, always the same.” As a result, he wishes to offer the gamers a change in the narrative content and also wishes to make the game more diverse.
