Activision and Treyarch, the studio behind last year's best selling game Call Of Duty Black Ops 4, have recently announced that its hotly popular Battle Royale mode will get a free trial available for anyone and everyone.

Blackout mode free trial will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One to download and play from 17 January to 24 January.

Aside from the free trial, the new 1.11 update for the game brings in gauntlets and new elixirs in the zombie mode on PS4. Also, the game will get a featured list of new playlists, as well as the addition of new maps Elevation and Madagascar to Blackops pass owners, etc.

Coming back to the Blackout, this will give all the new players who were hesitant about the game before a full one week to review and play the game for themselves.

The interesting part here is how the multiplayer traffic for Blackout's biggest competition- Fortnite and PUBG will behave.

Recently there have been rumours about Blackout mode going free to play which wil be amazing and a complete slap on the other two games mentioned above.

This is because Blackout is undoubtedly the most fast-paced and polished Battle Royale game till date and the only thing holding it back ( that actually doesn't seem to be the case) from having even more players is that it ain't free.

Maybe this marketing scheme is from Treyarch and Activision to check how many new players hop into the game and they will decide accordingly about the game's future.

Of course, whatsoever be the reason, Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 is nonetheless the best selling game of 2018 whether it be in the US, UK, physical sales or digital sales.

The only place where Black Ops 4 doesn't top the charts, however, is on PSN where it is preceded by EA's FIFA 19.
