The much awaited mobile version of the hit FPS series Call of Duty will be having a battle royale mode.

In a twitter announcement, it was revealed that the Android/IOS shooter will be having a battle royale mode called Code Black. The mode will not consist of the traditional 50+ players we see in other popular mobile and PC battle royales. It will be similar to the one in the PC game, CS:GO. It will consist of 20 players.

The game is expected to release on 31 March 2019 for China and a global release will follow a full month later. More details about the release can be found here.

The game is being developed by the same company that developed the widely popular battle royale game - PUBG Mobile which is Tencent Games. The game's battle royale mode will not compete with PUBG Mobile as the gameplay in both of these games is very different.

Call of Duty: Legends of Wars's battle royale mode will be in the first-person perspective (FPP) whereas the general player base of PUBG Mobile prefers third person perspective (TPP).

More details about the battle royale mode have currently not been disclosed.

Call of Duty: Legends of War has many mobile gaming enthusiasts very excited for its release. The game will be having some maps which will be similar to the console versions such as the popular Call of Duty: Black Ops map- Hijacked.

Gameplay from the early beta releases show that the game is highly competitive and will be loved by casual and serious gamers alike. More details including gameplay, maps, game modes, guns and eSports can be found here.

We cannot wait for the FPP shooter to come out!
