It seems that 2019 will be the year when we finally get to play one of Call of Duty's most acclaimed games in this long-running series yet again which is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, in the form of a remaster.

Multiple leaks in the recent months as well as from an anonymous source on Reddit has confirmed that both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 remaster would be hitting the home consoles - PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC this fall along with a new entry in the series which is supposedly Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

Activision has pretty much confirmed that this year's Call of Duty will have a single player campaign unlike last year's Call Of Duty's: Black Ops 4. They also confirmed that a sequel to 2016's Infinite Warfare is not happening so that definitely leaves the option to this year's game being Modern Warfare 4.

Also, seeing that Infinite Warfare launched with COD: MW 1 remaster which sold incredibly well, as a matter of fact, there's no reason why Activision won't pull this off this again with other entries.

Keep in mind though, all the leaks till far only suggests that Modern Warfare 2 remaster would only retain the single player campaign of the game and not the multiplayer which might be disappointing for some hardcore fans.

Nevertheless, Activision has yet to confirm anything themselves though that can't be very far as they generally hold an annual community event prior to E3 every year for revealing their next game.
