Capcom teases about possible new game

Capcom has made quite a few announcements at the 2014 PlayStation Experience, which included some teasers from Devil May Cry’s developer Ninja Theory on what could be a new DmC game. And now Capcom’s director Hideaki Itsuno has teased fans about a possible new game.

Dengeki PlayStation, a Japanese gaming magazine, featured a questionnaire recently where they had 107 game developers talk about their upcoming projects. This included Capcom’s director of Dragon’s Dogma Hideaki Itsuno, producer of Sengoku Basara series Hiroyuki Kobayashi and Dragon’s Dogma producer Minaeu Matsukawa. Here are their statements on Capcom’s future project:

  • Dragon’s Dogma director Hideaki Itsuno: “We’ve got several games in the pipeline right now. One of them is even in the last stages right now. We should be able to announce it soon.”
  • Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen producer Minaeu Matsukawa: “We’re working really hard to get ready for people to learn about what we have coming up in 2015 and get them excited to play those games.”
  • Sengoku Basara series producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi: “2015 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Sengoku Basara franchise. You can expect a lot of exciting announcements and developments in light of the occasion.”

Fans also stumbled across other teasers regarding Dragon Dogma’s, one of which was a trademark which was titled as Dragon’s Dogma Online. Also the official website of Dragon’s Dogma posted a news entry related to a possible Dragon’s Dogma 2 as well as Devil May Cry 2. This was before PlayStation Experience and the entry has been taken down ever since. Hopefully, Capcom makes an official announcement about their upcoming game sometime soon.
