The CS:GO Rankings for 20th March 2017 has been updated and FaZe Gaming remain on top. FaZe are just one week shy of being on top for two straight months as they dethroned SK Gaming on 5th February.
Closely following FaZe are the team they lost to in the ELEAGUE Major, Cloud9. Following Cloud9 at No.4 are Fnatic who are going through a revival in the last two months as they managed victories at IEM Katowice 2018 and WESG 2018.
SK Gaming cap off the top five as they fall down to fifth for the first time since 1st of March 2016 when they fell to fifth as LG Gaming.
Considering the next premier CSGO tournament is in mid-April the rankings aren't subject to much change during this time.
The only matches going on are the online matches of the ESL Pro League Season 7 and ESEA Season 27.
Top teams tend to take these matches lightly and usually play a much experimental game than their serious playing mode during LAN events.
The only considerable movement in the top ten is Fnatic who jumped two spots up after winning WESG 2018 in China.
That was Fnatic's second consecutive LAN victory as they pushed their way up in expense of SK and mousesports.
Team Liquid who had no LAN tournaments scheduled for them maintained an undefeated run in online games throughout the month and gained one spot.
The biggest shock that comes is in the form of SK Gaming. The last time SK dropped to 5th was in March 2016.
That was one month before they won the MLG Columbus Major, and they never really looked back ever since until now.
The team seems to have lost their edge ever since and hasn't been the same lethal force as it once used to be.
While mousesports lost two spots sheerly due to not participating in enough tournaments throughout the month, SK performed poorly everywhere.
A group stage exit in WESG after losses to Russia and BIG surely hurt the team's confidence and their status as one of the top CSGO teams in the world.
