Dark Souls publisher Bandai Namco has filed a DMCA complaint against Durante, the community member responsible for the DSFix mod. The complaint was filed through Dropbox and claims that Durante is infringing on Namco’s IP by altering the code of Dark Souls. This means, the players who have a copy of DSFix mod in their Dropbox account, won’t be able to access it.

Durante points out on NeoGAF, that the program comprises original code created independently from Dark Souls, which means this code is not the property of Bandai Namco. Durante posted,

However, the speculation is that the publisher could have made an error and suspected that this mod leaked the debug version of Dark Souls, which was put online during the past week.

J. Kartje, US community manager for Bandai Namco, when asked by a fan about this complaint, tweeted that he will look into the matter.
