Deltarune: How to defeat Titan boss in Chapter 4

The Titan in Deltarune Chapter 4 is one of the most intense and cinematic boss fights in the series so far. As the final challenge of the chapter, the Titan fight blends platforming, strategy, and team mechanics into a high-stakes showdown. While it may seem overwhelming at first, once you understand the boss' phases and use the right Acts at the right time, it becomes a fun battle.

Where to find the Titan boss in Deltarune

You’ll come across the Titan naturally at the end of Chapter 4 while following the main story. The encounter comes after you reach the Old Church and try to seal the new Dark Fountain created by the Roaring Knight. This triggers the Titan’s appearance — but it won't fully form at first.

You’ll have to climb the Titan’s body while dodging minor enemies. After falling, head right, climb some stairs, and select "Jump Down" when Ralsei prompts it. Fight a short battle, jump again, and you’ll land back on the Titan.

Keep climbing until Susie finds you and throws you to the top. Walk right to reach the final arena, and soon, the Titan will reveal its true form.

The Titan has high defense and multiple phases, so you’ll need to manage your TP and Act options carefully.

1) Breaking its shield

Start by defending with all characters to build TP and read the Titan’s attack patterns. Use Kris’s Brighten Act (costs only 4% TP) repeatedly. This weakens the Titan’s shield. Once your TP hits around 80%, use Unleash, which reveals the Titan’s weak point and breaks its shield. Use normal attacks with your whole team to deal heavy damage to the boss.

The Titan will soon reform its shield and wings. Repeat the cycle of Brighten, Unleash, and Attack.

2) Gerson joins the fight

After a second shield break, the Titan heals, but help arrives. Old Man Gerson joins your party. You’ll unlock a special move called “Dual Buster” with Gerson, which targets the Titan’s shield directly. Finally, Susie throws Kris inside the Titan, ending the fight in a dramatic finish.

There are no major item rewards for defeating the Titan. Regardless, this is the final boss of Chapter 4, so it’s all about wrapping the chapter’s story arc and pushing forward into the next conflict.
