Bungie has finally caught on and decided to make a few changes for Destiny. The main draw back of the game was the missing voice chat, no one could really talk to each other. From November 18th there will be no need for you to use the weird sign language, as the voice chat to Destiny is being added on this Tuesday.
One good change many players were clamoring for was multiplayer voice communication. While Bungie is much against such abuse-enabling features, they decided to add the ability for players to choose in-game communications during matchmaking activities. The two types of voice chat modes players will be able to switch between are the Fireteam Chat and Team Chat. Here is all you need to know about these modes :
Fireteam ChatSince launch, you’ve been able to use Fireteam Chat to speak to the Guardians included in your pre-formed party. This includes players who join you in orbit before you begin an activity together. Fireteam Chat is signified by the speaker icon.

Team ChatAfter the update, you’ll be able to join a new channel that will provide for Team Chat. This will include the players you meet via Matchmaking, as well as members of your Fireteam who make the same selection. This option will be available in any matchmade activity – including Strikes and in team-based Crucible matches. Team Chat is signified by the megaphone icon.
As each player switches into Team Chat you will receive individual notification every time a player enters the team, showing who has entered Team Chat. You can select who you can chat with. Basically the whole feature is carefully designed for you to get complete privacy. While playing a match you can enter Team Chat as well by pulling out your Ghost and selecting the option for Team or Fireteam Chat.
Destiny became one of the largest franchises launch in the history of Activision. This feature may receive positive response from the Destiny fans. Or it may be the other way around?
