Valve recently released The International 2019 Battle Pass. Every year the company introduces a battle pass and 25% of the money paid by players to purchase the pass is dedicated towards the tournament prize pool.

While every year many players purchase the battle pass, not everyone gets the full benefit from the money spent. The money required to purchase a 50 or 100 level pass is too much and the cost of purchasing levels inside the pass is not exactly pocket friendly either.

The people who get stuck with low levels of the Battle Pass cannot really reap the benefits like the cool hero immortals and other perks. However, there are small shortcuts which can help you level up your pass faster and in a more pocket friendly way. Here we will discuss some tips to get the best value for money from the pass.

#1 Waiting for Discounts

This is like a loophole in the Battle Pass system. Last year Valve announced the Pass similar to this year with different prices for different battle levels. However, the company released a special discount on purchasing battle levels. The offer was huge, including 80 Battle Levels, 4 Immortal Treasures I and 4 Immortals Treasure II for only $19.99.

That is approximately ₹1,405 only. To put it in perspective, a 50 Level Battle Pass is currently selling at $29.35, which is ₹2062. This is like a loophole because many people purchase the initial release of the pass and then get disappointed after looking at the offer later. This offer usually comes during the end of June as Weekend sales. People who need more levels can buy the 100 level pass now and then buy these discounted levels later. Something to take note is this usually comes as a one time purchase per player.

#2 Wagering

Many players don’t wager because they are afraid of losing battle points. However, that is a totally wrong idea. Wagering on random matches will make it risky and you will end up losing points. The right way to wager is making a five-man party and playing - that way you at least know you have a better probability of winning.

You can wager in Solo queue matches too, and if you have a great match-up of heroes against the enemy, it will probably result in a win. Having one or two smurf players in your team will mostly guarantee a win so look out for that. One more important point is to wager large amounts of points. A 50 point wager won't get you anywhere - try to be brave and wager 1000 or more points if you are very confident.

#3 Trivia

You might have scored points on Trivia questions which come on your screen when you start finding a match. They are mostly easy questions and also repeat themselves later. So if you have given a wrong answer, you can eventually get them right.

However, most of the times people are too lazy to answer them or they get a match very fast. The best trick is to find a match where no one searches and keep solving these Trivia questions and gain free points. For example, searching for 1v1 mid normally takes long and will give you time to solve at least 10 questions.

#4 Daily and Weekly Challenges

The Battle Pass includes a number of daily challenges like daily hero challenge and using in-game consumables to get a few points. Weekly Challenges are very easy to complete and can be done by just having them at the back of your mind when you are playing. Challenges like destroy 25 enemy barracks or place 40 wards as a support are very easy because an average player involuntarily reaches these targets in a week’s of playing.

#6 Predictions and Fantasy

This is by far the most rewarding way of getting Battle Points. You have to predict outcomes like who will win the group stages, playoffs or the finals. However, there are some more rewarding predictions like predicting the correct prize pool of this year’s TI 9.

You can get 10,000 Battle Points by predicting this right. Some predictions are extremely easy to make and can earn you tons of points. Focus on predictions like 'the most banned hero in the tournament' or 'the most picked hero in the tournament.'

The best way to predict is track down the recent tournaments and have a look at their statistics. A new patch can mess things up so be careful of the changes.
