DOTA2 and EM EFF

THANDYING

If you play DOTA2 then you already know about the heaviness of MF or EM EFF in-game and if you Don't, you probably wear a yellow raincoat and live inside Hrithik Roshan's Garbage bin. Em Eff is a part of DOTA2 and it has always been. If you ever thought you were stressing yourself too much, no you didn't. You're taking it too seriously? No. It happens, it happens to each one of us. Every player at some point in a game gets Em Effed by other players or Em Effs another player. And it has to do a lot with the end game result.

How Does Em Eff affect the gameplay?

If we break it down then there can be only two kinds of Em Effed situation in any game. But if you're in LAN then the possibilities of Em Effed situation are endless and so is the outcome, in and off the game :).

In general, there are two very common situations, it's either you are getting Em Effed or you are Em Effing someone. How the situation affects the end result of the game? If you are Em Effing a teammate and you're playing in SEA server, chances are the Em Effed teammate will end up with a classic Mid or Feed showdown or the boring AFK-Jungling gameplay while throwing a comment at you every time the enemy team pawns your head. Now, if you're playing ranked you should probably stop and save your precious MMR, and if it's a normal game then you might as well enjoy, record the gameplay and post it on facebook.

The other situation is where you are getting Em Effed. Can you do anything about the situation? If the teammate is Em Effing you with voice or word chat then you can simply mute the player and play your own game. There will be no communication but you'll live. If the person is Em Effing you with their gameplay then, unfortunately, you will have to deal with it but that's still a better option than trying to talk and getting more Em Effed with their answers. And if you think you can't do that then you're probably a good player but not a very smart player.

I never mentioned anything about the Em Eff related to enemy team because the solution is pretty simple. If you're getting Em Effed by chat then mute it, If you're getting Em Effed by gameplay then practice more. And if you are the one Em Effing the enemy team, then pat yourself in the back and keep doing the good work.
