Microsoft launched its video game live-streaming platform Beam on January 5, 2016. The platform was renamed as Mixer in May, 2017 and has been struggling to catch a strong footing within the video game live-streaming space ever since. Although platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Caffeine TV amongst many have been around, Twitch continues to dominate the streaming scene with the highest number of concurrent viewers.

Popular Twitch streamer Shroud has followed Ninja and has recently quit Twitch to join Mixer, Microsoft's video game streaming platform. Dr DisRespect with his ever so whacky commentary has spoken about moving to Mixer in one of his casts on October 29, 2019. He also hinted getting paid more than them to continue streaming on Twitch.

Here's why the Doc will never join mixer

In one of his streams on October 29, 2019, Dr DisRespect cleared the air of speculations that said he'd be the next streamer to switch to Mixer and said

"I would never move to Mixer, trust me. It's stupid!"

He added that Mixer probably has around 40,000 to 50,000 concurrent viewers across the platform right now but Twitch, in comparison, has about 1.5 million people watching streams at any given time.

Dr DisRespect's opinion about streamers moving to Mixer

Herschel 'Dr DisRespect' Beahm, in his stream on October 29, 2019, exclaimed

"You step into my face and say 'YEAH! They are making big moves!' No, they are not!"

He mentioned that he has double the number of viewers that Ninja has while still in his intro and that those moves are not doing anything for the platform. Dr DisRespect further asserted.

"You can't pay for a community, you can't buy viewership – it's right here! The Twitch community is built on video games it's built on community. So get your flappy gums, I'm sick and tired of seeing it, hearing about it"
"Mixer wants to be relevant. They claim 30 million monthly active users. But that's because all their Xbox users get to follow Mixer streams. And in comparison, Twitch, the streaming platform, has extremely high engagement and sessions times that they monetize by millions of minutes of content watched! Millions of minutes watched is the number one metric and it's right here on Twitch."
