When Shinji Mikami, the man who is known as the father of survival horror, most notably known for creating the Resident Evil and the most recent The Evil Within series took the stage during Bethesda's E3 showcase, many of us were expecting the announcement of the third entry in The Evil Within series.

Surprisingly though, he ended up announcing a completely new IP called Ghost Wire:Tokyo which is currently in development at Tango game works.

Ghost Wire is an action adventure game set in a stunningly realized version of Tokyo where people are mysteriously vanishing due to unknown reasons. The game will feature occultist themes, urban Japanese legends, unsettling environments and the main character who supposedly can equip a bow and even use supernatural abilities.

Even though Ghost Wire is a drastic shift from Mikami's previous, the game is described to be as "spooky" by the adorable Creative Director Ikumi Nakamura.

Ghost Wire currently doesn't have a release date or a release window.
