Nintendo doesn't hold an E3 showcase, rather have their own Nintendo Direct event at the same time of the year so we can count that under E3 as well.

Just like every year, Nintendo stole the show with their incredible game-lineups as well as release date announcements of the previously announced ones such as that of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake and Animal Crossings: New Horizons.

But the biggest surprise of them all came at the very end. Nintendo announced at the closing moments of the Nintendo Direct that 2017's critically acclaimed open-world action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's sequel is now in development.

With a crpytic one minute teaser of the same, fans were left gasping for breath in excitement as the long wait for the next entry in the Zelda series begins.

These were the five announcments that I personally felt were the biggest at this year's E3. What were yours? Tell me in the comments down below. Also for more such pieces and reviews for your upcoming favourite titles, stick to Sportskeeda and follow me for constant updates.
