EVO 2015 game line up announced, will include Mortal Kombat X and Tekken 7

EVO 2015 game line-up has been announced and the list includes newcomers like Mortal Kombat X and Tekken 7. Evolution Championship Series tournament organiser Joey “MrWizard” Cuellar revealed the games appearing at this year’s tournament on a Twitch TV stream hosted by Mike Ross.

Mortal Kombat X is slated to release on April 14th for the consoles, so the game will be out before EVO 2015, which takes place in July. Tekken 7 however will be making its global tournament debut at EVO and players will compete using the arcade machine. Bandai Namco is yet to announce a release date for the console version of the game though the arcade version will be out by February.

Tekken 7 will also be present at events across North America so gamers attending the events later this year so gamers will have an opportunity to try out the arcade fighting title and practise their moves before facing off against each other. The arcade game will also be playable at EVO 2015.

Tekken 7 was first announced at EVO 2014 so its great to see that the arcade game included in the line up for 2015. It will also be interesting to see how competitors fare in Tekken 7, given that they won’t have much time to prepare.

EVO 2015 will be happening in Las Vegas from July 17th-19th.
