FIFA 18: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang possible new rating and position at Arsenal

Fans of Arsenal must be delighted with their transfer window business as the Gunners have snapped up Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of £56m, which makes him a record signing for the North London club.

The transfer was announced after Arsenal's French international Olivier Giroud moved to city rivals Chelsea FC, who have sent Michy Batshuayi on loan to Dortmund in a three-way transfer saga that was completed on the deadline day. The former Dortmund striker's signing comes after his former team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved to the Emirates from Manchester United.

For FIFA FUT fans, Aubameyang's move to Arsenal from the Bundesliga creates a possibility of change in his rating values and a possible position change considering Alexandre Lacazette's presence in the London side.

Aubayemang is currently ranked 89 in FIFA 18 and he is positioned as a striker (ST), but after a move to the British capital, his ratings could well experience a jump to 90.

While Aubameyang did play as a striker for Dortmund, his position might take a change and he could be moved to the left wing (LW) position to utilise his pace, which is currently rated at 94.

Aubameyang could be deployed in a three-man attack by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with Alexandre Lacazette in the centre and Alex Iwobi on the right wing. This might bring about some changes in the FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) for the Gabonese striker.

In FUT, the in-game ratings have Aubameyang rated 84 as a Left Winger (LW) and the same at Right Wing (RW) position. But, a positional change by Wenger could lead to an increase in his ratings and the main position attribute could be changed from the striker (ST) to left wing (LW) as well.

The individual rating statistics could undergo some changes as well in the game. The pace rating is already high at 94, so not much change is expected there, but if he is moved to left wing, it could increase to 95. The left-wing move might decrease his shooting stats, which are at 84 down by a couple points to 82.

However, his dribbling statistic, which is at 81, can be expected to increase by a couple of points or more. The passing statistic could also increase, considering Aubameyang will have to combine well with Ozil and Mkhitaryan behind him in midfield. As a winger, he would be sometimes expected to track back and defend, so an increase in the defence statistic could be expected as well.

The English game is different from the German one, with more physicality involved in England, which warrants an increase in the Physical statistic from 71. Aubameyang is a skilful player and is ranked at 3-star skill moves which can move up to 4-star as the season progresses. If he is moved to the wings, his weak foot rating will be maintained at the 4-star level as it is now.

Arsenal have made a good signing in the form of 28-year-old, who has proved his credentials in the Bundesliga and will be a welcome addition to any of the FUT teams as well.
