FIFA 18 ratings: Real Madrid, Manchester United stars feature in 40-31 list

EA Sports appear to be going the distance when it comes to making FIFA 18 their finest creation yet. Heavy promotions and periodic release of trailers seem to be the norm for the developers as they look to make their upcoming attraction the most talked-about release in recent times.

They are on the right track too, with the talk of the town currently being the ratings of several big players in FIFA 18. Following a consolidated list of talented players in the game from 100 all the way to 41, the next step in a series of exciting unveils is here. Social media seems to be abuzz too, with everyone giving their opinion on this brand new set of ratings released by EA Sports. What is your point of view? Here are the ratings from 40 to 31:

#40 Christian Eriksen - 87

Spurs fans would rate him a healthy 95, but the truth is that Eriksen being 87 is great for everyone involved. The gifted Dane will look to perform at a high standard yet again as Tottenham get set for another successful season in England as well as Europe.

#39 Arturo Vidal - 87

The Chilean Vidal will look to keep up the good work that has made him a household name as he steps up to an impressive 87 rating. Bayern's midfield maestro could have a trick or two up his sleeve as the season rolls on.

#38 Marcelo - 87

The ever dependable Marcelo makes it to this list with his sheer work rate and willingness to play for the team. His captaincy appointment for Brazil just boosts his chances of being a true South American great.

#37 Edinson Cavani - 87

Cavani's numbers reveal some impressive things about the Uruguayan. His superior finishing ability for PSG ensures that him a place in a rapidly rising squad of talented individuals. His stats prove his importance to the side and make the French champions a potent threat in Europe.

#36 Paul Pogba - 87

Manchester United's solid start to the season has largely been due to Pogba's improved form. Goals are coming and passes are flowing, with the Frenchman's skill at the forefront. His stats in FIFA 18 showcase his incredible strength and dribbling with five-star skill moves. A rating of 87 does him justice like never before.

#35 N'Golo Kante - 87

Matching Pogba's rating is Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante. The French middle of the park appears to be shaping up very well and at its very foundations is Kante. One of the reasons for Chelsea's success last season, The Blues will depend on him for another top performance this time around.

#34 Marco Verratti - 87

Verratti's determination is there for all to see and his stats prove just that. PSG's go to player will look to replicate his good work this season and FIFA 18 prepares us for the storm brought by this talismanic Italian.

#33 Jerome Boateng - 88

Bayern Munich's sold back line is largely due to this German's rock like defences. His FIFA ratings in the past have been high for a reason and this time too, he will be the immovable object in front of the forwards of Europe.

#32 Mesut Ozil - 88

A lot has been said about Arsenal lately, but not one can doubt Ozil's ability and contribution to the club. The German is rated highly in FIFA 18 again, contrary to what was expected and he will look to provide his best yet again.

#31 Jan Oblak - 88

Few have endured a meteoric rise to the top like this keeper from Atletico Madrid. Oblak's stopping ability remains among the best, and he brings his talents to the virtual world of FIFA 18. Expect another goalkeeping masterclass this time too.
