FIFA 18: Top 5 fastest players among Top 100 revealed, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi miss out

EA Sports recently revealed the player ratings of the Top 100 players in its latest edition of the highly popular football game -- FIFA 18, as fans waited with bated breath to see where their favourite superstars will end up and who will finish on top of the list.

After days of teasing, the list from 100-1 was finally made public and at the end of it all, it was Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portugal and Real Madrid superstar, and also the game's cover star this year, who takes the top spot with an overall rating of 94. His 90 pace, 90 dribbling and 93 shooting are enviable figures that put him ahead of his rival Lionel Messi.

IMessi himself has a massive a rating of 93. His 89 pace, 95 dribbling and 90 shooting too stand out from the rest. Neymar takes the third spot while in fourth place, it is Barcelona forward Luis Suarez.

Another key aspect that fans look forward to is which player has the best 'pace' rating. We had a chance to take a look at who are the fastest five players in the Top 100, a search which has yielded some surprising results. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi do not make the cut and on the top is a Borussia Dortmund superstar!

Sadio Mane, the Senegalese superstar, plays his club football for Liverpool and boasts of some extraordinary numbers in FIFA 18. His 93 pace coupled with his 85 dribbling make the 25-year-old a menace for opposition defenders.

#3 Jordi Alba

The fullback is the only defender on this list

The Spanish left back comes third on this list with a huge pace rating of 93 and is the only defender and FC Barcelona to make it into the top five. He also has a strong 82 dribbling rating and an 81 defending rating, making him one of the best fullbacks in the game.

#2 Gareth Bale

The Welshman is the second fastest player among the FIFA 18 Top 100

The Real Madrid star may not have had the best seasons with Real Madrid and an 89 overall might not look that good, but remains beyond doubt is his incredible pace. A 94 pace rating has been awarded to Bale, while his shooting and dribbling stand at 87 and 86 respectively.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has a massive 96 pace rating, making him the fastest among the Top 100 players. He also stands at #29 on the overall ranking charts and is a deadly striker with his 84 shooting and 81 dribbling numbers.
