There is no room for Football's end-of-season gloom as the FIFA World Cup comes our way. The 'Biggest show on the Earth' comes to us from Russia, where 32 nations will compete against each other to lift the ultimate prize.

Banking on the hype surrounding the World Cup, EA Sports recently announced a new patch to their beloved game, FIFA 18, which will bring a new 'World Cup' mode to the game. From official team branding to real stadiums, the free-for-all game mode will have it all. Fans are eagerly waiting for the update, which will be released on May 29.

The sports gaming company further fueled the hype when they started revealing a critical aspect of the game to the fans - Player Ratings. So far, EA has revealed the ratings for Belgium, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, France, and England.

The ratings for Spain were latest to be revealed for the new game mode.

The La Roja will be looking to lift the World Cup for the second time in three editions. New boss Julen Lopetegui has a lot of options at his disposal and will hope his side does better than they did four years ago.

With Spain yet to announce their official squad for the World Cup, there is no guessing who will or will not be boarding the plane to Russia. Using a list made up of recent call-ups to the national team along with the most likely to be called-up, EA revealed their new ratings.

Leading the pack is Manchester United's David De Gea. De Gea has evolved into one of the finest Goalkeepers in the World and has proven himself invaluable to the Red Devils. EA recognizes his contribution and has given him an overall of 91.

Spain's backline is one of the strongest in World football and EA recognizes this as well. They have given overalls of 88 and 87 to the center back pairing of Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique, respectively.

Leading La Roja's midfield is FC Bayern's Thiago Alcantara, with an 88 overall. Up front, both Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata have been victims of a downgrade, with their respective ratings going down by one each.

EA has opted for a safe approach with Spain, as most of their squad carries over their FIFA 18 ratings to the new World Cup mode. Spain will also be one of the few in-game teams to feature no players below the 80 mark.
