The FIFA World Cup 2018 is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited. With plenty of talent expected to shine through in just under two months time, the stage is set for the biggest footballing event of the year.

EA Sports is pursuing its own piece of the pie this time around with the launch of the new World Cup update in FIFA 18, and one of the tasks assigned with this venture is the ratings update for players and teams competing at the World Cup. And next up on the agenda is the defending champions Germany.

Die Mannschaft have been on quite the roll since lifting the cup just four years ago in Brazil, and enter this tournament full of confidence.

The team sits perched at the top of the world rankings and qualified comfortably for the grand event by finishing top of their group.

Their World Cup group, however, seems a bit more challenging with the inclusion of Mexico, Sweden, and South Korea, all expected to be outsiders for a place in the knockout rounds of the tournament.

As Germany get ready for Russia, EA Sports is ready with their ratings update for all the players going to the biggest stage in world football and on paper.

It looks as formidable as ever with the likes of Manuel Neuer, Thomas Muller, Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil and Mats Hummels all hoping to light up the extravaganza.
