FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades: 3 Borussia Dortmund Players Who Will Get An Upgrade   

Borussia Dortmund are the team that have sent shockwaves across Europe this season. The German side has toppled Bayern Munich to be on top of the Bundesliga table and have been playing some scintillating football.

Here are three Dortmund players who will get an upgrade:

#1 – Jadon Sancho

England v United States - International Friendly

Starting with the most obvious one – Jadon Sancho. The English winger has taken Bundesliga by storm and has shown the world why the English you deserve a chance in the Premier League as well.

The winger has been one of the best in the world this season and Borussia Dortmund are making the most of him. He has managed to bench a fan favourite and BVB's own, Christian Pulisic. The USA star is now on his way to Chelsea in the summer but Sancho has made sure that they won't miss him one bit.

Sancho was signed from Manchester City in the summer and his performances in the league have given the English youth players the courage to move abroad and play. Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi might soon be the next one to leave the Premier League for Bundesliga but the fact remains that all this is happening because of Jadon Sancho.

With a base rating of just 72 in the game, EA have a lot of thinking to do. Not only does the Englishman have such a low rating, but he is also still a silver card! Sancho might be the one to getting the biggest upgrade in FIFA 19 – and might also become the English player to get the biggest upgrade in the game's history.

A boost of +8 or even +9 is expected from Sancho when the Rating Refresh takes place in February.

#2 – Paco Alcacer

Borussia Dortmund v SV Werder Bremen - Bundesliga

From one player who was termed excess to requirements to another. Paco Alcacer was loaned to Borussia Dortmund by Barcelona for the whole season but his performances have been so good that they have made the deal permanent already.

The Bundesliga side have been impressed by the Spaniard and he has decided to take the leap of faith and join them on a permanent basis. Alcacer has been one of the driving forces for BVB's incredible run this season and should he continue to perform the same way, they might easily win the title!

Rated at just 79 in the game, Alcacer has 3 special cards – 80 rated UCL card, 82 rated IF Card and 84 rated FUT Swap Deal card. While he won't be pushed straight to the FUT Swap Deal ratings, EA should get him to his IF card ratings as it reflects his performances very well.

#1 – Marco Reus

Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund - UEFA Europa League Quarter Final: Second Leg

Despite the limelight being on Jadon Sancho, it is Marco Reus who is the real MVP at Borussia Dortmund. The German, who has had an injury-ridden career so far has been on top of his game this season.

Rated at 85, Reus has been consistently showing that he is worth a lot more. With as many as THREE Player of the Month award under his belt already this season, EA should consider giving him a big boost as well.

While he won't be getting a huge push like Sancho, Reus should be given a rating of 87 or even 88 in the Rating Refresh. His POTM cards are rated at 88, 90 and 91 – something that has truly reflected his performances on the pitch.

His first POTM card, rated at 88, is the ideal one for him and EA should make that his base card in FIFA 19.
