Liverpool are undoubtedly the team to beat this season. They are in top form, are on top of the Premier League table and are in cruise control in all of their games.

We are just a couple of weeks away from the FIFA 19 rating refresh and the speculations of who will get an upgrade and downgrade are going around.

Having already taken a look at the 3 Liverpool who will get an upgrade, let's have a look at the 3 players who will get a downgrade:

#3 Naby Keita

When Liverpool signed Naby Keita in the summer from RB Leipzig, it looked like they have found that missing piece in the midfield.

He was touted to have all the abilities to get Liverpool their dominance in the midfield back and the price they paid was also, at that time, argued as a bargain.

However, things have not gone the way they were expected to. The Guinean star has not managed to settle in well at Anfield and is finding it very difficult to make it into the starting XI.

He has been made to sit on the bench by James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum. To an extent, Klopp has even preferred playing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho over him when needed.

Rated at 83 in FIFA 19, Keita is bound to get a downgrade when the rating refresh happens. While he won't be given a huge downgrade, he is expected to be pushed to 82 for sure.

The stats that will affect his card the most will be dribbling and shooting – at 87 and 73 respectively right now, they are likely to go down to 85 and 70 after the refresh.

#2 Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana has not been at his best for a long time now. The English midfielder used to dominate the game for Southampton and it wasn't a surprise when Liverpool signed him. But injuries have wrecked his career and he is now excess to requirements at Anfield.

While he's just rated at 81 in FIFA 19, it doesn't look like EA will be happy keeping him at that rating.

There are far too many lower rated midfielders who are proving to be worth a lot more, so to justify their ratings, Lallana might be pushed to 79.

Lallana might not even be at Liverpool when the refresh takes place as rumours suggest that the Reds are looking to sell him this transfer window.

He's been linked with Rangers, managed by Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard while Newcastle United and Fulham are also said to be in the race.

#1 Lazar Markovic

In case you are wondering, yes! Lazar Markovic is still at Liverpool but has not been anywhere close to the first team. He was close to moving to Turkey on during the summer but the deal fell through at the last moment.

Now, his agents are working on a deal to get him away from Anfield but he might just be priced away from a move to a club that really wants him.

Reports suggest the Reds want around £20 million for him and with better players available for that rate, he might be stuck with the reserves for six more months.

EA, however, might not be bothered too much by his lack of game time and give him a downgrade in the rating refresh.

There are far too many players rated below 74 – Markovic's rating – and thus, he will be getting a push on -3 at least.
