FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades: When will the Rating Refresh happen?

Unlike other game modes in FIFA, like Career Mode and Kickoff, Ultimate Team cards do not get upgraded every single match day. While a few of them get inform cards, not everyone has their stats upgraded or downgraded in the game.

Just like how a release the ratings of every player ahead of the game release, they give an upgrade or downgrade to players based on their performance in the season. This is terms as Winter Upgrade or Ratings Refresh by EA and is something all FIFA players look forward to in February.

However, not all the players in the game get an upgrade or a downgrade in their ratings. Deepika out around 400 players who have done exceptionally well or extreme deep early in the season and have their ratings changed.

New cards are released for these players and if you own any of them, those cards will remain unchanged for you. You have players with 2 base cards after the upgrade in your club but not in the same squad.

Example: Van Dijk is at 85 right now and is set to get an upgrade to 87. If you have his 85-rated card in your playing squad and get the 87-rated card as well, you can keep both in your club but only one can be in the playing squad.

So when is the FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades Release Date?

The earliest update for winter came out in FIFA 16 when they released it on February 5th itself. Earlier, that is not the case for other games for FIFA 13 to FIFA 18 (except for 16) it was released after the second week of February and for FIFA 18 especially, it came out really late, ie, 23rd of February.

While an exact date for the FIFA 19 Winter Upgrades not been released just yet by EA, we can expect it to arrive on 22nd February 2019. So you have exactly 1-month To save the cards that you think will get a downgrade and also to save up for the cards that you think will get a massive upgrade.
