French multinational video game developer Ubisoft officially announced that the famous film composer Cliff Martinez is joining hands with them for the soundtrack of their latest game Far Cry 4. Fans can get an early look at Martinez’ work when a digital version of the soundtrack releases tomorrow. The game has officially gone gold and will release for all consoles and PC on 18 November.
The former Red Hot Chili Peppers member worked with Ubisoft’s own sound directors to build a musical score that Ubisoft believes captures “the ruthless characters who live (and die) in the fictional war-torn nation of Kyrat.” Audio Director Tony Gronick expressed his own excitement at bringing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee in on the game.
“Bringing Cliff on board was a no-brainer,” said Gronick. “Collaborating with him was a dream. He has the remarkable ability to portray compelling emotions and elevate the mundane into extraordinary with his musical talent.”
