Final Fantasy XIII director to reveal next project

Motomu Toriyama to reveal about the next Sqaure Eniz project soon

Motomu Toriyama, has a long history with the Final Fantasy franchise. He has already served as director on Final Fantasy X-2, as a event planner on Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VII as well as scenario planner on Final Fantasy X. His most recent work is being the director of the Final Fantasy XIII saga. But it seems now he has prepared to reveal his next Square-Enix project to fans around the world.

A lot of news has been coming out regarding upcoming Square-Enix titles, it is to be noted that ‘SaGa Asterism’ was trademarked in Japan. The recent issue of Dengeki PlayStation has said that Toriyama is preparing to reveal a new title. His exact words in the interview were: “We’re currently preparing to reveal a brand new title”.

It is expected that the new title is not about Final Fantasy, as it currently has 3 games under development (Type-0, XIV content, and XV). It is highly possible that his title is tied with the recent ‘SaGa’ trademark filing given that it is an RPG and the original titles in the franchise were non-linear Final Fantasy themed titles.
