Final Fantasy XIV released the game's first ever limited job, the Blue Mage, this week. Players of the popular MMORPG were divided, to say the least, in regards to the "limited job" system. The dev team opted to make it a special experience for players instead of a full on class, primarily because it fails to fit any of the three ideal roles: tank, DPS, healer.

That being said, players are still jumping onto the opportunity to play the highly requested class, and now it seems we have a special exploit that will allow you to level up the Blue Mage quickly.

TwinInfinite.net revealed that there's a pretty easy way to get your Blue Mage to that level cap. The FFXIV dev team themselves addressed the exploit in the Lodestone.

Essentially, if a player kills a monster in one hit and immediately switches jobs, say to Blue Mage, that job will get the experience from that kill.

That's not exactly a game-breaking trick in itself, as the dev team stated in the report that it didn't have a "significant effect." However, the Blue Mage earns more experience than other jobs, due to its playstyle and being a limited job.

Because the blue mage is designed to receive more EXP than other jobs, this issue became much more noticeable recently and has concerned many players. This issue should have been addressed before the implementation of blue mage, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

They went on to say that it would require them to change the core structure of EXP gain in-game, therefore this won't be something easily adjusted in a small patch or a hotfix. Because of this, they won't be able to tackle it until Patch 5.0, known as Shadowbringers.

Take advantage of this trick before it's too late on PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows!
